Transparency and information to deployers

High-risk AI systems must be sufficiently transparent for deployers to interpret their output and use them appropriately, and must be accompanied by clear instructions for use.

  • Instructions for use must be concise, complete, and comprehensible
  • State the intended purpose, known limitations, and accuracy levels
  • Describe human oversight measures the deployer has to apply
  • Explain expected lifetime, maintenance, and required input data
  • Distinct from Article 50, which addresses transparency towards end users
