Provider

Develops an AI system and places it on the market.

Art. 3(3)Art. 16

Definition

A provider develops an AI system or model — or has one developed — and places it on the market or puts it into service under its own name or trademark. Providers carry the heaviest obligations, including transparency duties under Article 50 to mark synthetic output in a machine-readable way.

What this means for your store

Your store is normally not the provider of the image model. But if you rebrand and resell an AI system as your own, provider duties can attach to you.
