Definition
Conformity assessment is the procedure demonstrating that a high-risk AI system meets the requirements of Chapter III before it is placed on the market. Depending on the system it is done through internal control (Annex VI) or with the involvement of a notified body (Annex VII), and it must be repeated after substantial modification.
