Fundamental rights impact assessment (FRIA)

Definitie

Certain deployers — public bodies and private entities providing public services, plus deployers of some credit and insurance scoring systems — must assess the impact of a high-risk AI system on fundamental rights before first use. The assessment covers processes, affected persons, risks of harm, oversight measures, and governance, and is notified to the market surveillance authority.
